Description of the excursion
Excursion to Cerro La Torta: 4x4 Challenge and Panoramic Views
The adventure begins in the Quime-Quipan Inn, within Los Alerces National Park. From there, we venture into a vibrant lenga forest through an authentic experience off-road, overcoming natural obstacles in search of the best views of Lake Futalaufquen.
We began our journey at 500 meters above sea level and, thanks to the ascent in 4x4 vehicles, reached an altitude of 1600 meters, where the forest gives way to the majesty of the high mountains. Upon reaching the end of the vehicle route, we embarked on a approximately 20-minute trek (Medium/low difficulty) over uneven terrain. In this section, the low-lying vegetation allows us to fully enjoy the silence and magic of Cerro La Torta. After absorbing the energy of the place, we descend on foot to rejoin the vehicles and begin the return journey.
